A digital method is proposed, using which the influence of side-lobes of the antenna radiation pattern on the observation data can be almost eliminated. The method is illustrated by a simple one-dimensional example which can be readily extended to the two-dimensional case. The method is applicable to the reduction of sky maps obtained by any observational method.
