Root-mean-square shifts from the shower axis are calculated for secondary particles with the highest possible energies to investigate the limits of theoretical spatial distribution functions. The calculations are made in approximations of three distribution theories, and the three sets of results are compared. Based on these comparisons, it is shown in which cases the distribution functions derived according to each theory are applicable.
