The 3.5-micron magnitudes of R CrB and NML Cyg as a function of Julian date (over the period 1968-1974) are presented and briefly analyzed. They establish the variability of R CrB at this wavelength: during the interval studied, its magnitude varied approximately 1.4 units, in a definite cyclic pattern. The magnitude variations of NML Cyg were smaller (about 0.5 mag), but they may be cyclic with a period on the same order as that of R CrB.
