The suggestion that the observed ellipticity of nebulae surrounding some WR stars results from the difference in mass outflow from the stellar poles and equator (caused by stellar rotation) is analyzed. Two models are considered: (1) stellar rotation with critical velocity and formation of the nebula from interstellar matter by a stellar wind; slow rotation of a giant star and ejection of a shell into interstellar space.
