It is shown that the electromagnetic field in the Crab Nebula represents low-frequency waves generated by the rotation of the pulsar NP 0532. The particles responsible for the nebular continuum are relativistic electrons and positrons ejected from the pulsar. The difference between the energy spectra of these electrons and positrons should not exceed several percent.
