A method of calculating energy losses along regular trajectories in a model Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) is extended to describe Forbush events at high rigidities. A simple IMF model is adopted, yet the gross features of Forbush events are reproduced. Computed intensity profiles of 70-GV protons are presented for both halves of the 22-year solar magnetic cycle.
