A near-IR spectrograph was used to obtain the spectra of 12 faint
planetary nebulae with a dispersion of 230 A/mm in the 8000-11,000 A
range. All the spectra exhibit three strong emission lines: He I 10,830
A, and S III 9069 and 9532 A. Moreover, the high excitation nebulae
exhibit a very strong He II 10,123 A line.
