Stute et al. (1980) have conducted a study involving the single-dish mapping of the sky fields around 23 strong northern extragalactic radio sources. This study represents an attempt to establish whether outlying 'fossils' of active quasars and radio galaxies might exist. The study confirmed that most faint neighbor sources are indeed background objects and not faint remnants of earlier radio outbursts. It was also found that the quasars 3C273, 3C345, and 3C380 have neighbor sources a few arcminutes away. The present investigation is concerned with the results of additional observations concerning the fields of 3C273, 345, and 380. Maps at wavelengths of 6 cm and 2.8 cm were obtained with a 100-m telescope and a Very Large Array. It was found that the neighbor sources consist of compact components. The present high frequency observations provide no evidence of a physical relation between the sources and the quasars.
