The published radial velocities, distances, and proper motions of 1412 early-type stars are used to analyze the kinematics of the Galaxy in the solar vicinity (up to 2 kpc). The data selection and analysis methods are explained, and the results are presented in tables and graphs. Stars of different heliocentric-distance groups are shown to have different mean motions relative to the sun, a phenomenon explained by the three-star-drift hypothesis, with an outward velocity of 25 km/s for the local standard of rest. Other parameters determined include the Oort and Galactic-radial-motion parameters and the precession corrections: A = 16.6 + or - 0.6 km/s kpc, B = 14.4 + or - 1.7 km/s kpc, C = 0.5 + or - 0.5 km/s kpc, D = -2.0 + or - 0.4 km/s kpc, Delta n = 560 + or 40 marsec/100 yr, and Delta k = -330 + or - 50 marcsec/100 yr.
