Mars Atmosphere: Oxygen

Our study suggests that the missing oxygen, needed for validating at
present the total 2:1 ratio between H and O which is not lost to space
is incorporated into the Martian surface as an oxygen sink by chemical
weathering processes, which oxidize the Martian soil.
