Meteoroids: Fragmentation, Strength
Scientific paper
The strength of meteoroids and the way of their breakup are still poor known. The scaling law was applied to observational data of large bolides with known flashes altitudes, mass and velocities estimates. The flares on light curves are considered as fragmentation evidence. The model predictions compared with observational data allow to estimate meteoroid strength.
