Internal gravity waves (hereafter IGWs) are generated in stellar convection zones. In solar-like main sequence stars, they play an important role in the redistribution of angular momentum and are a key ingredient in the understanding of the flat solar rotation profile (e.g., Charbonnel & Talon 2005). Here we examine the spectrum of waves generated by the convection envelope in a 3 M_&sun; TP-AGB star in order to evaluate how much mixing IGWs can provide at this phase.
