Observational data for the ring satellite systems of Uranus and Saturn are reviewed. The structural features of the Saturnian rings are described, and the physical properties of dust particles in the rings are discussed on the basis of Voyager 2 images and photopolarimetry measurements. The observational data are used to develop a generalized numerical model of ring dynamics, kinematics, and morphology, taking into account the effects of satellite perturbations, collisions, and ring particle self-gravity. The effects of viscous instability, particle size distribution, and nonlinear waves on ring morphology are also discussed, based on current fluid-dynamical and collision models. A geometrical representation of the streamlines of Saturn's ring particle orbits is presented, based on the numerical results.
