We present low resolution spectroscopy of five galactic novae occurred in the years 1991 and 1992. Spectra spread over several months since outburst and show the spectroscopic evolution of the ejecta. We classify each nova according to the Cerro Tololo scheme. The spectroscopic classification is then considered in relation to the nova photometric evolution aiming to provide further evidence for a two nova populations in our Galaxy.
