Photoelectric uvby and Hβ observations of the brightest stars in
the field of the open cluster NGC 6871 have been performed in order to
detect possible light variability of the B-type stars, members of the
cluster. Two new variables, a δ Scuti and a β Cephei star,
have been discovered.
