Two-dimensional models of a conical shock reflection are obtained under the assumption of an adiabatic and a radiative flow. The converging conical shock forms when a strong, plane or spherical shock overtakes an obstacle cloudlet. In agreement with analytical predictions the gas involved in the conical reflection acquires specific physical properties: the pressure is several times larger than the pressure elsewhere in the flow and the velocity is larger than the velocity of the original shock. If the reflection proceeds adiabatically, the passage of the conical shocks is followed by a fast reexpansion of the overtaken gas and the original shock is only slightly distorted. If cooling becomes effective shortly before the reflection is completed, condensation takes place instead of reexpansion, and a bullet able to overtake the original shock forms. Its subsequent motion through the ambient medium gives rise to a strong Bow shock. The calculations support the ideas of bullet formation put forward in an earlier communication as an alternative explanation for the origin of Herbig-Haro objects.
