I give a summary of the prompt X-/gamma-ray detections of Gamma Ray Bursts
(GRBs) with the BeppoSAX satellite and discuss some significant results
obtained from the study of the prompt emission of these GRBs obtained with the
BeppoSAX Gamma Ray Burst Monitor and Wide Field Cameras.
