A red hole is "just like a black hole" except it lacks an event horizon and a
singularity. As a result, a red hole emits much more energy than a black hole
during a collapse or accretion event. We consider how a red hole solution can
solve the "energy crisis" and power extremely energetic gamma ray bursts and
hypernovae.
