Scientific paper

Recently, an argument has arisen whether the radio source G25.5 + 0.2 is the youngest supernova remnant in the Galaxy, or the most massive planetary nebula known. In this paper it is shown that a classification as planetary nebula is unlikely. A few objects show similarities with G25.5 + 0.2, most of which are classified as H II regions. Although this does not unambiguously resolve the issue of classification, it appears possible that G25.5 + 0.2 belongs to the group of young outflow objects.
