A solution of equation for force free magnetic field inside toroid is used to identify size, location, and orientation of interplanetary clouds of this geometry associated with a series of strong geomagnetic storms in 1999. The solution obtained in toroidal coordinates μ , η , and ϕ for arbitrary aspect ratio torus and for not constant alpha. This work was supported by EU-INTAS-ESA grant 99-00727
