The goal of this article is to use the finite element method to perform the static and nonlinear analysis of the planet gearbox. The analytical results can be used to evaluate the failure load of the rotated shaft. In this study, five different shaft size models are created to study the stress distribution and the failure location. The analytical results obtained from the shaft diameter of 13 mm completely agree with those the failure location observed in the real working conditions.
