We present an analysis of X-ray observations made of the Galactic supernova remnant (SNR) CTB 1 (G116.9+0.2) made with Chandra and XMM-Newton. CTB 1 is a member of the class of SNRs known as mixed-morphology SNRs: these sources feature a shell-like radio morphology with a contrasting center-filled thermal X-ray morphology. We have conducted a spatially-resolved spectroscopic study of the central X-ray emission using Chandra and find evidence for oxygen-rich ejecta associated with this SNR. We will also present a preliminary analysis of XMM data for CTB 1 which confirms this result.
