Measuring the high-redshift Hubble diagram to an accuracy of 0.02 mag or better using Type Ia supernovae will require high-precision data and control of many sources of systematic error: SNe population shifts, extinction, flux calibration errors, and gravitational lensing must all be measured and controlled simultaneously. The SNAP simulation software, SNAPsim, produces mock datasets for the SNAP mission and tests the ability of reduction algorithms to disentangle all these effects and recover cosmological parameters. SNAPsim can simulate any well-defined space- or ground-based mission. Simulations of SNAP and idealized ground-based missions are presented here, and have been used to optimize the SNAP instrument and mission. Work continues, such as inclusion of weak lensing measurements and more sophisticated SNe models, and SNAPsim should be useful for the planning of any large imaging survey.
