Chandra images have provided dramatic new evidence for equatorial particle winds from young spin-powered pulsars. The resolved torroidal structure in these images allows us to infer the direction of the pulsar spin axis. When information on the pulsar proper motion is available, we can compare the direction of the neutron star spin and the kick that gave its large space velocity; this is an important new probe of core collapse dynamics. We describe new results from a particularly interesting case, the PSR 0538+2817/S147 association, for which the large initial spin period, 130ms, and the good kick alignment provide strong model constraints. We also describe some work on defining the spin axis orientation for several other young pulsars. In many cases this also aids in interpretation of high energy pulsed emission.
