We have directly imaged the z = 0.94 radio-quiet quasar PG1407+26 with four filters in the mid-IR using the Michelle instrument on the United Kingdom Infra-Red Telescope (UKIRT). The observed mid-IR spectral shape strongly favours hot dust as the origin of this emission. Consideration of deep radio data on this object, as well as its spectral shape in other wavebands, allow us to deduce the likely geometry of this system, and leads us to conclude that the mid-IR emission we have detected in this quasar is directly from its dusty torus.
