We present new, high resolution VLA (A array) 20cm continuum images of the figure-8 inner radio structure of the Seyfert type 2 galaxy NGC 2992. These observations are compared to, and combined with previous 6 cm observations to construct spectral index maps. Using the spectral index map we discuss whether the origin of the radio emitting electrons, whether they are injected from the active nucleus, or generated locally via interaction of the radio lobe with the ISM.
