We develop a physical picture of the Narrow-Line Region (NLR) of the Seyfert 2 galaxy including the sizes, spatial distribution, densities and elemental abundances of the constituent gas clouds along the line-of-sight. We use emission-line diagnostics measured as a function of distance from the active nucleus and the photo-ionization modeling code, CLOUDY, to determine gas cloud densities and the nature of the ionizing continuum. The emission-line diagnostics are obtained from Hubble Space Telescope/ Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (HST/STIS) long-slit spectroscopy. At a distance of 53 Mpc (Ho=75 km/(sec. Mpc)), STIS can resolve features in the NLR on scales of tens of pc. The STIS 52x0.1" long slit was aligned with the approximately 390 pc-long reversed S-shaped feature in the NLR.
