We report UBVRI CCD photometry of the young open cluster NGC 2343
taken under photometric conditions with the WIYN 0.9 meter telescope
at KPNO during November 2008. Multiple color-color diagrams suggest
that the cluster is moderately metal-poor and has moderate reddening.
The cluster distance and age is also discussed.
