The characteristics of an extensive-air-shower measurement installation
(the EAS-1000), proposed for the Alma-Ata region at a height of 500 m
above sea level, are described. The expected statistics are presented
for measurements of the primary energy spectrum, anisotropy, nuclear
composition, and radiation flux from binary systems.
