A numerical study of the response of a current sheet to resistivity enhancement in the presence of shear plasma flow is presented. Simulations were conducted with two-dimensional model of the current sheet and comparisons were made between cases with and without the shear flow. The results show that the shear plasma flow in the adjacent magnetic flux tubes forming the current sheet on their tangential surface influences the resultant velocity field. Also, it is found that the reconnection process in the vicinity of the X-point becomes slower in the presence of shear flow.
