One arcsecond resolution IR images have been obtained of the bipolar nebula associated with the late-type star and OH source OH 0739-14. The extent of the disk and the morphology of the nebular regions are deduced from the colors of the equatorial disk region and from the nebulosity. An evacuated axial region is inferred far from the star beyond the intense lobes characterizing the bipolar geometry. Scattering off dust in the bipolar cavity, where shocks are produced by outflowing gas impinging on previously ejected material, is the primary mechanism responsible for the observed radiation. However, the red colors in the lobes require that either a cooler emission source than the bare late-type star provide scattering photons, or that thermal emission from transiently heated ultrasmall dust grains in the lobes contribute to the observed emission at 3.75 microns.
