The Sab galaxy NGC 4736 has been synthesized in the 21-cm H I lines, with the 21-cm continuum map exhibiting disk emission at a level of about 3 K in brightness temperature and of about 5 kpc extent. Neutral hydrogen is found not only in the main optically bright section of the galaxy, but also coincident with a faint outer ring surrounding the galaxy. The H I velocities indicate that the gas in the outer ring partakes of basically the same kinematics as the gas in the main galaxy.
