It is suggested that oscillations of a small but finite amplitude of a thin gravitating rotation gas disk can lead to explosive instability without exhibiting any Jeans instability. A linear approximation is presented in which the perturbed quantities increase exponentially as a function of time. It is noted that the perturbations propagate in three isothermal phases, corresponding to a condition where gamma approximates one.
