Theoretical emission spectra in the frequency range from 10 to the 7th power to 10 to the 15.5 power Hz are constructed on the basis of simplified evolutionary models of compact H II regions. The computed spectrum is a combination of thermal radiation from the ionized hydrogen zone, infrared radiation from a gas-dust shell, and stellar radiation penetrating the shell during late stages in the development of a cocoon. Comparison shows that these spectra are in qualitative agreement with the observed spectra of the compact H II region W3 (A).
