A system which includes two mutually perpendicular dipole antennas at a height of five meters was used to study the polarization of radiowaves in a slant path. The organization and operation of the system are described, and some results are analyzed. Elliptical, circular, or linear polarization of pulse signals reflected from different ionospheric regions was observed. Three cases of the dynamics of polar characteristics are distinguished. The results indicate the significant effect of phase differences (between magnetoionic components) on the polarization characteristics of radiowaves.
