The consistency of gas-pressure-dominated two-temperature soft comptonized accretion disks is investigated for the case in which protons and electrons are variably coupled. The present technique provides a novel method for solving the disc and demonstrates that the solution is double-valued. The conditions for spherical accretion are described, and two branches are described (gas-pressure vs radiation-pressure dominant) which dictate the behavior of soft comptonized accretion discs.
