We have developed a new model for the reconstruction of ICMEs based entirely on white light images. The Tappin-Howard (TH) Model applies Thomson scattering and geometric principles to leading edge measurements of ICMEs observed with the Solar Mass Ejection Imager (SMEI) and Heliospheric Imagers (HIs). This technique has proven to be remarkably accurate in describing the kinematic trajectory of ICMEs and their arrival time at the Earth, demonstrating its worth for both scientific and operational purposes. We demonstrate the utility of this model, along with scientific results when the model was applied to a single event observed in November 2007. We also discuss the results of a mock forecast we performed using the model on a known geoeffective event.
