The dynamics and dimensions of 22 short-period meteoroid streams are investigated. It is found that, at the early stage of evolution, meteoroid streams may be considered elliptical rings of relatively small thickness. The effect of planetary perturbations can essentially increase the stream width and thickness. As a result, one stream may produce several pairs of meteor showers that are active in different seasons. The meteoroid streams under review may theoretically produce 102 meteor showers. The existence of 72 showers is confirmed by photographic and radar observations.
