Spectrophotometry of eight FRII radiogalaxies from the 3CR-based sample of Laing et al. (1983) are presented. The relations between line ratios and luminosities of objects are shown to support the usual model of photoionization by an AGN which predicts a scaling between narrow-line and photoionizing luminosities. The results provide evidence of a continuous correlation between narrow-line and extended radio luminosities.
