This paper investigates the correlation between the E(B-V) reddenings of high-latitude radio quasars, taken from Teerikorpi's (1981) paper, and the star/galaxy counts performed on the Palomar Sky Atlas (PSA) prints, with a resolution down to 5 arcmin x 5 arcmin. A correlation was found between the E(B-V) values of quasars and the logN values (where N is the number of star and galaxy images/sq deg on the PSA prints), indicating that the previously derived E(B-V) quantity is a good indicator of reddening. The slope of the E(B-V) vs logN relation was as expected if most of the stars with B below 21 mag are situated above the dust clouds. The existence of the E(B-V) vs logN relation means that there must be a significant average extinction at high galactic latitudes, in agreement with previous conclusions of Teerikorpi and his collaborators and of de Vaucouleurs and Buta (1983).
