The two most intense lines of the 18-cm spectrum of (O-17)H have been detected in absorption against Sgr A. Rest frequencies of about 1626.17 and 1624.43 MHz have been derived. The number ratio (O-18)H/(O-17)H of approximately 4.2 is less than the terrestrial value of 5.5. It is concluded that the O-17/O-16 abundance ratio near the galactic center is greater than the terrestrial value.
