The paper describes observations in 1975 of high velocity outbreaks consisting of white spots separated by dark projections or spots in the jet streams of the North Tropical Zone and North Temperate Belt of Jupiter. The white spots, about 8 degrees long, belonged to the narrow disturbed southern component of the North Tropical Zone, and the dark spots between the white spots were seen to be very dark chunks of the southern component. There was a main disturbance which, moving at -13 degrees per day, was first spotted in September, but by late December had just about faded away.
