The paper analyzes deuterium formation in nonequilibrium processes as a result of the splitting of He-4 nuclei by high-energy protons. The results show that much lithium is also produced in this case due to the reactions alpha(alpha, Li-7)p and alpha(alpha, Li-6)D. The D/Li ratio determined for these processes is found to be about two orders of magnitude less than the observed cosmic value.
