Radial velocities of Cyg X-2 derived from Kitt Peak and Lick Observatory spectrograms are shown to fit a period near 0.86 days with a semiamplitude of 112 km/s. Both the apparent spectral type and the He II 4686-A emissionn vary with phase; the earliest type coincides with the strongest emission. The implied model is one in which an F star is strongly heated on the side facing the X-ray source (a neutron star). The most probable masses are 2 solar masses for the F star and 1 solar mass for the X-ray source, if no X-ray eclipses are present.
