Results are presented for observations of the nucleus of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1275 in the spectral region from 4450 to 6800 A, which were conducted between December 1973 and January 1975. The spectrum is found to contain a series of weak emission lines, some of which are due to Fe II and Fe IV. The previously observed doubling of the H-beta and forbidden O III lines is confirmed, and spectra obtained on different days are compared. It is shown that the equivalent widths and shapes of hydrogen and nebular lines did not undergo significant changes in the period from 1972 to 1975. Analysis of H and Fe line intensities indicates that the equivalent widths of the H lines correspond to almost total absorption of the UV tail of the nonthermal nuclear continuum. Sobolev's (1974) theory of moving stellar shells is used to calculate relative intensities of forbidden and allowed Fe II lines that are in satisfactory agreement with the observations. The emission-line spectra of NGC 1275 and NGC 4151 are compared.
