Emission line and continuum spectrophotometry of R Monocerotis has been carried out in January 1973 when the object was near minimum light. We report scanner observations covering the wavelength range 3200-10,800 A. A tentative value of E(B-V) of about 0.37 has been determined from the H-alpha/H-beta/H-gamma ratio. This procedure can be justified to some extent in the case of R Mon. The continuum shows a very flat energy distribution with no visible Balmer jump. Emission line fluxes are listed and discussed. The infrared Ca II lines 8542/8662 appear strongly in emission though the K line is seen in absorption.
