The present conference discusses the optimization of Nb tunnel junctions as X-ray detectors, superconducting tunnel junctions for X-ray spectroscopy, diffuse X-ray spectrometer experiment, a microstrip proportional counter, the X-ray performance of an imaging gas-scintillation proportional counter, and X-ray imaging with the XSPECT/SODART microstrip proportional counters. Also discussed are radiation-entrance windows for CCD detectors, detection of X-rays with an optical imaging chamber, ultrahigh-resolution photon-counting system, an X-ray detector using superconducting Al tunnel junctions, the performance and limitations of thermal detectors for X-ray astronomy, imaging solar flares in hard X-rays using Fourier telescopes, and a modular rotating collimator imaging X-ray spectrometer.
