A progress report is presented on the pattern recognition software being developed for the interpretation of EAS responses in the PLASTEX experiment. The software automatically finds patterns corresponding to isolated tracks as well as patterns composed of tracks that connect with each other in a layer of a dense material. Tracks are reconstructed iteratively using both geometrical and internal consistency arguments. Examples of the recognition of nearly straight tracks are given.
