The formation of the globular cluster system (GCS) of a giant elliptical (gE) galaxy as the result of tidal interactions and merges with other galaxies is investigated. The properties of the proper GCS of a gE galaxy after interaction with several galaxies as well as the properties of the trapped GCS are determined by means of multiple solutions of a restricted three-body problem. The calculated density profiles of the GCS, orbit eccentricities, and velocity dispersions of globular clusters are compared with those observed in gE galaxies.
