Dense Matter - Equation Of State - Stars: Neutron
Scientific paper
The role of bulk compressibility in evaluating the surface energy term
in nuclear matter at the neutron star crust is studied. The distribution
of proton fraction in nuclei is found to decrease as the density
increases. The maximum Z for nuclei on the neutron star crust are found
to be (20, 25) and (29, 36) for the models considered in this paper.
